PORT CLINTON, OH – April 16, 2025 — Boaters, anglers and spring festival goers are set to gather for
three days when the Progressive Catawba Island Boat Show kicks off on April 25, 2025. Celebrating its
20th anniversary, it’s the only spring in-water boat show held on the Great Lakes, drawing more than
10,000 attendees primarily from the tri-state area – Ohio, Michigan and Indiana.
Produced by the Ohio Marine Trades Association (OMTA), the show offers an authentic, in-the-water
experience, giving boaters an opportunity to climb aboard more than 125 of the latest power and
sailboats. “It’s designed to offer boaters an effortless and enjoyable way to explore the latest boat models
in a low-pressure atmosphere,” explains Michelle Burke, President, OMTA. “The event commences
Ohio’s boating season and features 100+ vendors, live musical performances, delicious bites and a
variety of family-friendly activities.”
Guests are invited to experience an elevated waterside retreat at this year’s show in the new Firelands
Dockside Retreat where luxury meets excitement. Set within a heated tent, football fanatics can tune into
live NFL Draft coverage. A unique blend of comfort, entertainment and unforgettable memories await all
brought to you by Firelands Automotive Group.
Food and fun prevail at the prestigious Catawba Island Club. Don’t miss an opportunity to enjoy a warm
bowl of lobster bisque, brought in fresh daily from the Boardwalk in Put-In-Bay or a quick bite from the
Berardis Fry Trailer. Sandusky’s top rated Argentinian food truck – The Gaucho & The Gringa will be on
site offering a little something for everyone including gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan menu items.
With powerboats ranging from small inflatables to 50-foot-plus luxury motor yachts, the fleet includes a
vast array of the latest fishing vessels from small single-engine models to giant center consoles being
pushed along by four 450 horsepower outboards. Beyond a vast array of premiere, high-performance and
pre-owned powerboats, attendees can spend the afternoon browsing hundreds of vendors throughout the
show, there is something to suit any boating style! From boat shoes and sunglasses to anchors and
electronics equipment, you’re practically guaranteed to elevate your time on the water.
Stop by the Discover Sailing program conducted by expert instructors from Cleveland’s Riverfront Yacht
Sales and Service. ASA Certified and USCG licensed instructors will be on site sharing their extensive
knowledge on basic boat handling, boat safety, parts of the boat, terminology, rigging, points of sail and
sailing skills. Their Learn to Sail program teaches hundreds of sailors how to enjoy sailing safely on Lake
Erie each year.
Guests are invited to Meet the Fleet from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, U.S. Coast Guard
and the Port Clinton Harbor Patrol. Attendees will have a close-up look at impressive life-saving vessels
and equipment while connecting with the crew members. Wondering how these teams play a vital role in
ensuring the safety and security of our communities or how they respond to medical emergencies on the
water? Now is the time to ask!
Parking is complimentary this year thanks to our friends at Firelands Auto Group. Free shuttle service to
and from the show gate will also be available. Visit catawbaislandboatshow.com to find additional event
