By April 25, 2025No Comments

PORT CLINTON, OH – April 23, 2025 — A record number of boats plus hands-on sailing opportunities are among the highlights of this year’s 20th annual Progressive Catawba Island Boat Show set to dock at the exclusive Catawba Island Club this Friday, April 25-April 27, 2025.

“Whether you’re here for the lake lifestyle, the tunes, or just a good time – this is where it all begins,” says Michelle Burke, President of the show-producing Ohio Marine Trades Association (OMTA). “Almost every major brand will be represented with nearly all displayed in-water featuring demos for qualified buyers.”

Dealers will be showcasing models ranging from the latest inflatable fishing units and smaller single outboard center consoles up to those “need for speed” screamers powered by four big outboards for “hold on to your hat” angling runs. They will all be part of an in-water fleet of more than 125 boats, including a variety of plush motor yachts up to 50+ feet. A limited selection of pre-owned boats will also be on display this year.

For newcomers looking for a hands-on sailing experience, the opportunity will be found at Discover Sailing where participants will have an opportunity to cruise out onto Lake Erie, hoist sails and take the helm. It’s a unique opportunity not offered at any other major in-water boat show in the country.

Overlooking the impressive display of power and sailboats will be nearly 100+ exhibits of brokerage boats, marinas and yacht clubs, mechanical services, marine electronics, insurance, nautical clothing and gifts – all surrounding the picturesque marina basin. Plus, there will be live boating seminars, continuous musical entertainment on the Shores & Islands Music Stage, relaxation at the Firelands Dockside Retreat and the Baumann Auto Center Yacht Lounge. We’ll have plenty of options for every taste and budget with ample menu items for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free guests in the Crown Battery Family Dining Pavilion.

Parking is complimentary this year thanks to our friends at Firelands Auto Group. Free shuttle service to and from the show gate will also be available. Visit catawbaislandboatshow.com to find additional event information including show hours, daily schedules, FAQs, ticket sales and more.
